At the last 4-H/LEAP Student Council meeting, it was announced that there will be a Burger Bash on Thursday, October 2, at the Burger King in Port Jervis. All you need to do is come join us around dinner time (5 to 8 p.m.) and when you pay, tell them you “support 4-H”. A percent of your meal will be credited to our Saints 4-H Club and Robotics Club.
So, mark your calendar and plan on having dinner at Burger King on Thursday, October 2.
Tomorrow is National See You At the Pole. What is it? Well, it is a time of prayer when Christian Students plan to meet at their school’s flag pole and pray. Why should homeschoolers care? Well, for some of us, it is the lack of Christ’s influence in the schools that has prompted us to withdraw our children and teach them at home. You can join them. I bet that at any school (Middle School or High School) in the area you will find students on their knees beginning at 7 a.m. This program must be student led, but adults are welcome. You can also start a tradition of praying for your own school in your front yard. What a witness to your neighbors. See You at the Pole!!!

Dear LEAP Families,
Well, another LEAP Day is coming soon. Start preparing now. Have you started the homework? Did you look through their book bags? Did you look through the pile that was in your mailbox? Did you read the LEAPer? Do you have your name tags? Do you have small change for lunch and/or dessert or drinks?
Don’t be stressed on the night before, start preparing now. Gather up these items and put them aside.
As for change of date, we are still working on a date to move the October 10th class to. The 15th is presenting a problem for 4 families and that is a lot of absense to deal with. We will make an announcement on this Friday as to what we are doing.

Please follow the same suggestions for preparing for the the Regular Day, such as parking on the side and arriving no later than 8:45, except:
Come to the lower level. All classes on Alternate Day are on the lower level (except 2 high school classes).
PLEASE WEAR YOUR NAME TAGS!!! (New Families will receive yours soon)
We don’t serve lunch on Alternate days and only have half the families. So everyone can just grab a chair for morning announcements and prayer and we will move them to the side in case gym classes want to use the fellowship hall.
Don’t forget to write out your’s and your child(ren)’s schedules, here is a handy form:
There are some important changes to be made on your calendars.
1) When we met on “Back to School ” night, we said there would be a change of a Friday date once we knew when 1st Assembly would have their clothing give away. We now know it is scheduled on October 10th so our third Regular LEAP day will change from the 10th of October to Wednesday, Oct. 15th. Please check your calendar now for possible conflicts and get back to us immediately.
2) Do to an unforeseen facility conflict, this week’s 4-H Business Meeting will change from Thursday the 18th (tomorrow) to Friday the 19th at 3pm at Grace Fellowship on Sullivan Ave. in Port Jervis. This is directly following the Alternate Day Law class.
These are both direct results of having our facility change last minute this summer. There are usually not this many changes but we are still in recovery mode and remain happy that we are blessed with a roof over our heads wherever and whenever it is. We hope everyone can adapt their calendars to accommodate these changes.

After speaking to a few of the teachers who seemed to have the largest class sizes, the following room changes have been made to accomodate their needs.
2nd period-
Pre K 3’s & 4’s will move from 107 to 104K-1- Gym will move from outside/104 to Outside/Fellowship Hall with the understanding that on bad
weather days they will have to be careful of the lunch crew that is setting up.Guitar – may use room 301 as well as 303 if necessary to split class
3rd Period
2nd – 5th grade Music and Art would like to use 105 as well as 107 when needed4th Period
2nd – 5th grade, 5th graders will stay in room 106 with Mrs. Kelley as they have already had Mrs. Rausch’sScience Challenge, the 2nd – 4th graders will move to room 104
6th grade and up students who are not in Basketball Clinic will be in the Sanctuary with Mrs. Schoch

Well, we seemed to pass the test, thank you to everyone who helped set up and clean up. I heard the wedding was beautiful. If you had any questions or concerns, please address them to one of the Board Members before tomorrow evening. We have a Board Meeting and would love to address them on your behalf. If you used a classroom other than the one that was on the schedule, please inform Dawn so that she can change the master schedule. Not knowing exactly what you were doing in class, we simply assigned rooms based on what we thought “might” work. If you need something else, please inform Dawn and we will see what we can do.
There was quite a bit of stuff left after that Dawn needed to gather up, please be sure to take what you brought for the Free Table. We have a very small storage closet, not a huge storage room this year, we cannot store that stuff, please take it home. If you really need to store something that you will be using this semester, please see Dawn and we will make room for it.
